Inserting TeX4HT generated HTML into Google Sites

Beyond the absolutely simple point and click solutions available, getting stuff onto the web is definitely more involved than I'd envisaged. After starting an article written via TeX4HT, I viewed what I'd done in Safari and then copied the resulting HTML into the "Edit HTML" box of my Google Sites page. When hitting "Preview", the page was shown as rendering just fine, but upon committing the changes, a blank page results.

I wonder what's the cause of this inconsistency?

Addendum: Google Sites thread on the issue.

LaTeX HTML

This (TeX4HT) was a right pain to set up on the Mac, especially since Fink built it from source (Fink still requiring complete Leopard compatibility). Then it refused to read even the most rudimentary TeX file until I realised: I needed to run sudo texhash. It seems to work now.
